RUN A TAB 2009 IS UNDERWAY |
The first pub run for 2009 has come and gone. The next schedule run is February 6th, 2009. Thank you to all the pub runners that made 2008 a success! Run A Tab in 2009 is looking to improve and grow. This year we will highlight a non-profit organization every month and collect donations at Drink Bar to go toward that organization. For January the pub runners donated $50 that will go to The Brighton School which helps children with special needs. Thank you to all who donated:) Please run and party safe. |

A LOOK BACK AT 2008 (NOT JUST ABOUT RUNNING) |
Well, we are nearing the end of 2008. As I think back and reminisce about how this year has gone I am amazed at how much change we have seen at every level. Issues with the economy, politics, the environment and our own personal well being have created a greater sense of awareness among all of us. Well, at least I like to think so. I want to spend some time reflecting on 2008. My hope is that we look back at what we have done or what we didn’t do. I want to stir up feelings or memories of good times, hard times, ups and downs. And as we near the finish line of 2008 we continue to stay on course, cross that finish line with friends, family, and the knowledge that we kept moving forward all year long; all life long. For you marathoners and half marathoners that doesn’t sound all too unfamiliar. The way we train for our endurance events is a reflection of how we live, how we love, and how we fight for what is important. We train for starting lines, not finish lines. |
